October 21st, the BIG day, is less than 3 weeks away! Our Musical concert centered on its Title “Dream Again” will feature our student worship band, the student choir, our girl’s dance group, theatrical segments of the lives of Joseph, Esther, and David, as well as musical accompaniment from the recorder ensembles of 2nd– 6thgrade. This will take place in the Manuel Bonilla theater, Honduras’ oldest and biggest theater. This is a BIG deal and we are so excited to share it with family, friends, and neighbors, as well as with several radio stations, one of the biggest Newspapers, and a TV station! Since most of you won’t be able to attend in person, please join us at 4:30pm EST on our Facebook where we will be live streaming the concert!
The inspiration for this theme, “Vuelve a Sonar” – Dream Again – comes together in two parts. First to motivate our children to dream big for their lives because God is a God of the impossible. We want to encourage them to yearn for the dreams and purposes that God has for their lives so that they can fulfill that magnificent Divine crafted dream that God holds within His heart for each of them.
And secondly, the message is for the audience, the adults watching, those past that child-like age of wonder and dreams for the future. Dream AGAIN! So often as adults our dreams have been deflated and unachieved. Our hopes and dreams have been dashed only to fall into a perpetual state-of-believing that we are incompetent and unable to do anything more with our lives than what we have already done.
But through these Biblical stories, the songs, the gifts and talents of the children, through their wonder and big dreams, God has a message of hope for the parents and adults in the audience. God isn’t finished with any of us yet! “He who began a good work is faithful to complete it.” The Lord can fulfill immeasurably more than what we could have asked or imagined if we put our hopes and dreams back into His hands again.
