Families Growing in Faith

The Rodríguez Family – A New Beginning
Their journey started when Aisha, a third grader, shared with her teacher, Ms. Yorleny, that she wanted to go to church. That same week, she invited Aisha and her family to Jubilee. Ms. Lysbeth even picked them up on Sunday morning to make sure they felt welcomed.
Since that day, the Rodríguez family hasn’t missed a Sunday. Aisha’s mom, Doña Cintia, says:
“We’ve felt like home here. Every Sunday teaches us something new. The children’s ministry has helped our daughters a lot. As a family, we look forward to Sundays with joy. We’re growing, reflecting, and even changing habits we didn’t realize we had.”
Sister María’s Family – Years of Prayer
For 11 years, Sister María and her daughters prayed for their husband and father to come to church. There were times of discouragement, but they never gave up—always asking the church to pray with them.
Then, one day, the prayer was answered.
“When he finally came, we were filled with joy and gratitude,” she shares. “Now we pray together, spend more time as a family, and support each other in ways we didn’t before.”
She encourages other families:
“Don’t give up. Even when it seems like nothing is changing, God is always working.”
The Rodríguez Bonilla Family – A Firm Foundation
This family has been part of Jubilee since the very beginning. Brother Carlos joined in 2015 after seeing how the church was changing the lives of his wife and children. Now, his daughter Gaby is part of the Jubilee staff, married to Mr. Alexander—also a team member.
He shares:
“Jubilee is a church that seriously preaches Christ. We’ve seen God work in our family—growing in faith, loving the Lord, and walking with reverence. God began something in us, and He keeps working to perfect it.”

A Day to Celebrate: Student’s Day at Jubilee 🎉

This year’s celebration was full of laughter, surprises, and creativity. Each classroom turned into a joyful space, where teachers went the extra mile to make their students feel loved and celebrated.

While the day was full of play, we also look ahead with hearts of prayer. Exam week is approaching, and we know it brings challenges for many of our students. As a community, we’re lifting up each child in prayer—asking the Lord for peace, clarity, energy, and wisdom. We believe our students are not only smart and capable but also deeply loved by a God who walks with them in every season, including test week.
As Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
That joy was clear on Student’s Day—and we pray it continues to fill our classrooms during this exam season.
Thank you for praying with us, supporting us, and rejoicing in all that God is doing through the lives of our students.

Jubilee’s Science Fair 2025

Here are a few highlights:
- The Elephant paste Experiment: Our little ones from Pre-K amazed us with their eloquent explanation of this colorful and exciting chemical reaction. They explained how it demonstrates the principles behind modern fire extinguishers—an engaging and fun way to explore chemistry at a young age.

- Smart Glasses for the Visually Impaired: Armed by our 9th-grade scientists, this invention truly impressed us. They created a low-cost prototype to help people with vision loss, spending only around $60. After researching, they discovered that similar products on the market cost approximately $3,500. This high-quality invention has great potential to make a real impact for those in need.

- Firefighting Robot: 10th-grade students created and built a small robot capable of detecting and extinguishing fires using heat sensors. Programmed through Arduino, the robot can locate the fire and take action to control it. It was an “out-of-the-box” innovation with real possibilities—both for home use and, if expanded, for entire cities!

- The Coandă Effect Demonstration: Our 4th graders gave a fantastic and simple explanation of this fascinating physical effect. They showed how air tends to stick to curved surfaces, helping us understand why airplanes can lift off the ground.

Meet Our New Teachers at Jubilee!

Ms. Nohely – Academic Secretary

Ms. Paola – Natural Science Teacher

Mr. Escobar – Mathematics Teacher

My name is Bryan Isaac Escobar Rico. I studied mathematics, a subject I am passionate about teaching. My greatest purpose at Jubilee International is to share the love of our Lord Jesus with my students. I want them to know and respect His commandments, understand the rules for living, and recognize that Jesus is our only salvation. Through my subject, I pray that God will use me to instill spiritual, moral, and ethical values in my students’ lives.

Isaiah 41:10 says: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse guides me as I serve at Jubilee.

Athletes for Christ: Growing in Faith and Sports

Our Sports Program Director, Mr. Alexander, shared his enthusiasm:“It’s amazing to see how the students are prioritizing their spiritual growth alongside their athletic performance. Their goals now extend beyond the game, focusing on their relationship with God.”
Mr. Harvy also emphasized this transformation, saying, “Barriers have been broken. More students are dedicated to strengthening their communion with God, which is reflected in the growth of the Jubilee Church youth ministry.”

Top 5 Highlights of the Athletes for Christ Program
5. The growth of Jubilee School has allowed for better facilities and high-quality spaces for training sessions.
4. Competing outside of school creates exciting opportunities for students to share the gospel beyond our walls. A highlight of the program is the opportunity for students aged 14-17 to compete against adult teams from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH). These friendly matches, held weekly, provide valuable experience on professional-sized fields and serve a greater purpose—to attract more people to Christ through sports. As Mr. Alexander puts it, “The goal is to reach the masses and expand the gospel.”
3. The inclusion of community youth who are not enrolled at Jubilee School has enriched the program, and many of them are now actively participating in the church’s youth ministry.
2. The commitment of our students—both morally and academically—has been outstanding, as they strive to maintain their place in the program.
1. Jubilee is now recognized not only for its athletic excellence but also for the spiritual growth of its athletes! The scense of the programs it’s evident in this verse “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philipians 3:14. We are working hard to win the God’s better award! His presence in everything we do.
The Athletes for Christ program continues to be a powerful tool for transforming lives through sports and faith. We are excited to see all that God has in His path for these young athletes in 2025!

Meet Jaylin Marian – The Lord’s providece in action!

Jaylin Marian, was a sixth-grader in 2024 at Jubilee, she’s a talented young girl who loves playing soccer and singing. But what makes her story even more remarkable is her journey of faith—a path she never imagined would change her life forever.

However, her faith would soon be tested by challenges that no child should have to face.
Jaylin lived with her family in her grandmother’s house, but due to unforeseen issues, they were forced to leave. They had nowhere to go, and although her father owned a small piece of land, they didn’t have the means to build a home. As a temporary solution, they rented a small wooden house. But when Hurricanes Eta and Iota hit, everything became even harder. The house wasn’t safe enough to shelter a family, and they were afraid for their lives.
But Jaylin and her family never gave up hope. She prayed earnestly, asking the Lord for provision, and soon, God answered their prayers. Little by little, they were able to gather materials to start building a new home. Even though they didn’t have much, their extended family came together to support them.
“I feel like it was a huge miracle because God did the miracle of giving us our own home,” Jaylin shares with a smile. But that wasn’t the only miracle. God was also working a transformation in her father’s heart. For years, her father struggled with alcohol addiction, something that held him back and deeply affected their family. But despite the storms, both literal and emotional, Jaylin’s father encountered Jesus and began to follow Him.

During our interview with Jaylin, something even more special happened—she accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior. She poured out her heart to Him, and in that moment, the room was filled with a sense of joy that words can’t describe.
Her story is a testimony of how God can turn every hardship into a blessing. It is a reminder that no matter the obstacles, God is faithful to His promises. Jaylin’s faith, the miracle of her family’s home, and her father’s redemption are living proof that when we put our trust in God, He can move mountains.
