Statement of Faith

 
  • We believe The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the power of prayer.

JCI is a Non-Denominational Christian organization.

Jubilee Centers International (JCI) is a ministry of Jesus Christ, committed to the authority of Scripture and the historical-literal interpretation of the Bible. We seek to live and lead with integrity, holding to high standards in ministry, personal conduct, and Christian behavior.

All JCI board and staff members must affirm our Statement of Faith, reflecting a life transformed by Christ’s salvation and the ongoing sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

JCI affirms the biblical view of marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman (Mark 10:6–9) and believes that God created humanity in His image, male and female, as complementary sexes (Genesis 1:27). A person’s gender, as created by God, is reflected in their biological sex at birth.

While we all fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), leaders are held to a higher standard of moral conduct. Unrepentant sin that contradicts Scripture—including sexual immorality and other behaviors listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9–11 and Galatians 5:19–24—disqualifies individuals from leadership roles.

We aim to uphold biblical standards in truth and love, recognizing that the Christian life involves both forgiveness (salvation) and growth (sanctification), as outlined in Romans 3:23–25.

In Honduras, students and families of all faiths or beliefs are welcome
to be part of our school community.

Biblical Foundation

 
  1. We believe that a life spent in service for others is our call as Christians. “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25
  2. We believe that the Lord calls Christians to share the good news of Christ. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
  3. The message of Christ must be shared holistically, in both word and deed. (James 2:15-17).
  4. “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” (Luke 12:48).
  5. We believe that God calls all Christians to respond to the needs of the poor and needy. Christ’s love for the poor compels us to also respond in love. (Proverbs 22:9, Proverbs 29:7, Isaiah 58:6-8, Matthew 25:40).
 
 

 

 

 

Why Christian Education?

 
Education void of values and morals will do little to change the heart of a child. Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Educate a person in mind and not in morals and you will educate a menace to society.”
 
Jubilee believes we Christians are called to “go and make disciples of all nations” desiring that all people turn to Jesus as their Savior. Research shows that 85% of all people who make a decision for Christ do so between the ages of 4-14, during childhood and early adolescence.
 
In addition, Barna research shows that already by middle elementary school, the school environment takes on an even greater importance for the child than the home life in developing his/her views, opinions, beliefs and convictions. Therefore, what kind of education a child recieves, the quality of Christian teaching a child is given, and what values a child is taught is one of the greatest, if not the greatest influence on a child and adolescent’s life.
 
In addition, Christian education can be one of the most profound and effective ways to reach children and adolescents for Christ. Children and youth are truly “the world’s most fruitful field.” Sadly, often times churches and parachurch organizations often focus so much on adult ministry that children and youth are all but forgotten. Research demonstrates time and again that the poor and oppressed are more receptive to the gospel. There is no people group on earth that is more poor and oppressed, abused, and mistreated than children and youth.
 
Christian schooling and Christian teaching is not about brainwashing or forcing a decision upon students, but it is about taking seriously the great commission and the great commandment and also taking full advantage of this “fruitful field” of children and young people while they are still in this most receptive age-window, childhood and adolescence.
 
However, Christian education is not simply evangelism tacked on to math, science, and reading. Instead, Christian education must teach every subject in a Christ-centered way, acknowledging that God Himself is the Creator of all truth and apart from Him we cannot understand or know any truth. Dr Cornelius Van Til explains that education apart from Christian education cannot be consistent because it does not teach or acknowledge the One who formed and created the truth and knowledge that we understand about the world.
