Gratitude in times of crisis

There has never been a better time than this to focus on counting our blessings, rather than wading in fear or self-pity. This week, we asked our students and staff to do a special gratitude devotional at home with their families. After reading together various Bible verses on giving thanks, students, staff, and family members made and decorated lists of blessings they are thankful for! Many wrote how thankful they are for their families, for their health, and for food. One fifth grader wrote, “I am so thankful because my family has come back to the Lord after straying from Him.”

In the midst of uncertain times, our God is powerful and merciful and we have so much to be grateful for! Above is a small sampling of the many pictures sent in by staff and family members of their lists of gratitude! Consider doing this valuable activity at home with your family this week!
