Math + Fair = Fun Learning

The purpose of our Math Fair was to review basic math skills that are important to daily life as well in math class for student’s academic career. We reviewed topics like multiplication, addition, subtraction, fractions, and introduction to algebra. Our 9th graders, together with their math teacher, Mrs. Rosales, created different math games with difficulty according to each grade level using only recycled materials. It was impressive to see the creativity and teaching ability of our 9th graders.
Each class, from kindergarten to 8th grade, had the opportunity to participate in the math fair with prizes for winning and for participation. It was a very fun time and most importantly it served as a motivation to learn more about Math and realize that Math can even be a lot of fun!
